Erie County's Office of Geographic Information Services hosts many internet mapping sites as part of its effort in establishing a county-wide GIS Consortium. Both local governments and County departments are welcome to share in this new technology. The following municipalities and/or agencies have mapping sites:

• City of Buffalo
• Town of Eden
• Town of Grand Island
• Niagara County

The Office of GIS has recently migrated to the latest internet mapping software by ESRI called ArcGIS Server. The following sites have been developed using this latest application.

• City of Lockport, Niagara County
• Town of Boston, Erie County

The Town of Amherst created and maintains its own Internet Mapping Site at www.amherst.ny.us/gis/

The Town of Tonawanda created and maintains its own Internet Mapping Site at www.tonawanda.ny.us/

Many other towns and agencies are in the process of joining the Consortium. Mapping sites for these entities are currently being developed:

• Town of Aurora / Village of East Aurora
• Town of Hamburg / Villages of Blasdell and Hamburg
• Town of Lancaster / Villages of Depew and Lancaster
• Erie County Soil & Water Conservation District
